Plot[]
The episode opens with two thieves scoping out Skid and Lila's living room after breaking into their house. The fat thief worriedly remarks to the thin thief that he doesn't like this place, but the thin thief assures him that they can go after they've gotten what they're looking for. The fat thief then turns around and sees what looks like a human skeleton, and begins to freak out, alerting his partner's attention. When the thin thief shines his flashlight on the skeleton, it is revealed to only be Skid, who greets the two thieves. The fat thief is relieved, but the thin thief tells him that it's a bigger problem for them, as they now have a witness. Skid then questions the two as to why they're inside of his house, and the two thieves struggle to come up with an explanation. Skid then comes to the conclusions that they must be here because it's spooky month, and upon realizing this, the fat thief proceeds to do the spooky dance, much to his partner's annoyance. Skid then bids farewell to the two thieves, and the fat thief remarks on how easy it was to get rid of the witness. However, before the two can resume their search, the light in the living room flicks on, and a tired-looking Lila walks in, wondering what's going on. After seeing the two men in her house, the thin thief attempts to distract Lila by saying it's spooky month, and doing the spooky dance.
As Skid runs by the the stairs to the attic, he hears a deep voice calling him. Skid goes back and sees Moloch, who is still trapped in the Ouija board from the previous episode. Moloch asks for Skid to help free him, but Skid refuses because it's spooky month. As Skid leaves, a disgruntled Moloch remarks that Skid told him the same thing last year.
As Skid exits his house, he calls his friend, Pump, and tells him that it's spooky month. Pump then comes flying in from across town, landing on the sidewalk, and suggests that he and Skid go for ice cream. Skid and Pump then find an ice cream truck, and begin pounding on the closed window. They manage to get the attention of the truck's owner, who is revealed to be Frank. Frank angrily demands to know what they want, but his demeanor changes when he sees it's Skid and Pump, and asks if they would like some ice cream. The two kids say they want spooky ice cream, and Frank complies with their request, presenting them both with ice creams that resemble their heads. As the two enjoys their ice creams, Skid says they should go for a laugh, and they begin to bite down on their ice creams, which causes them to disappear. Suddenly, a kid wearing overalls and a propeller beanie walks up to Frank's truck, and asks for an ice cream. Frank gives the kid an orange popsicle, which makes him pass out after taking a lick, suggesting that it was laced with chloroform or some other sleep-enduing substance. Frank then proceeds to do the spooky dance.
Skid and Pump enter a dark alley with various posters of missing children and an ominous-looking clown holding a red balloon. Mr. Clown asks the kids how they're doing, and they ask him to tell them a spooky joke for spooky month. In response, Mr. Clown laughs creepily, but Skid and Pump still find his "joke" hilarious. Pump then tells Skid that they should go the internet, and the two float up and out of frame. After the two have left, a girl with blue hair approaches Mr. Clown and asks for a joke too. Mr. Clown laughs as he bonks the girl over the head with a mallet and stuffs her inside of a burlap sack, which may suggest he is the one responsible for the missing children.
Skid and Pump then crash through the window of Susie's bedroom, and they begin to mess around with her laptop. Suddenly, Susie opens the door and demands to know what her brother and his friend are doing in her room. Realizing the trouble they're in, Skid tells Pump that they need to "get the hell out of here," but not before literally taking Susie's diorama of Hell with them, which she was apparently working on as a project for school. After the two leave, Susie begins to scroll through her laptop, and finds various pictures of Twitter users doing the spooky dance. Skid and Pump then knock on the door of Pump's house, and Pump's grandfather, Mr. Wonder, answers it. Skid and Pump greet him excitedly, but this causes Mr. Wonder to suffer from a heart attack. Skid and Pump then tell him that it's spooky month, and Mr. Wonder begins to do the spooky dance, while the sound of cracking bones can be heard.
After leaving Pump's house, he and Skid run into the Hatzgang, who proceed to spit on them, stomp on their foots, and bonk them on their heads. The gang's leader, Roy, asks them what they're doing, and Pump replies that it's spooky month. Roy then tells them that there's a spooky party happening in the house on the hill, which excites Skid and Pump, who then eagerly take off. After they leave, Roy remarks that the house on the hill is where his uncle takes him, which unnerves Ross and Robert, who both take a step back from him.
After Skid and Pump arrive at the house on the hill, they are confused when they see there's no party going on. That's when Roy's uncle comes out of hiding, and informs the two kids that they've been tricked, and is now about to receive his "treats." As the uncle slowly approaches Skid and Pump, the two kids express genuine fear, citing their situation as "scary" and not "spooky." Just then, a large tentacle emerges from under the floorboards and scoops up Skid and Pump, taking them down with it as the uncle runs away. The tentacle is revealed to belong to a grotesque, octopus-like monster that calls itself "The Eyes of the Universe." Unfazed by its horrifying appearance, Skid introduces himself and Pump to the creature, before it tells them that it will "show them the end." Pump asks if the monster is talking about spooky month, and having apparently been unaware of this, The Eyes of the Universe excitedly crashes through the front of the mansion, squashing Roy's uncle in the process. Back with the Hatzgang, Roy can be seen questioning Ross and Robert about the immorality of his uncle's actions, before the three of them come face-to-face with The Eyes of the Universe, who puts them all in a nightmare-induced trance. Oblivious to this, Skid says they're having fun, and Pump tells them to "keep looking at the stars." Skid then suggests that he and Pump go for candy.
At the CandyClub, the clerk, Kevin, can be seen checking his watch, apparently anticipating the arrival of Skid and Pump. Once the two kids arrive, Kevin asks what they want, and they ask for three candy cans. A confused Kevin asks who the third one is for, when he hears the sound of shattering glass, and is confronted by The Eyes of the Universe. The scene then jumps to the three friends enjoying their candy, before Eyes tells Skid and Pump that he needs to go. They exchange farewells as Eyes tells his new friends to always look at the stars. Skid then tells Pump that they should go back to his house.
Back at Skid's house, the two thieves have just been arrested by Jack. As the fat thief looks out the window of the patrol car, he sees Skid and Pump waving to them, and he happily waves back, much to the annoyance of his partner. The fat thief then joins the kids in doing the spooky dance, but the thin thief forces him to stop, and he apologizes. Lila then asks Skid and Pump where they've been, and they tell her about the new friend they've made that showed them the stars. Skid adds on that they showed him how to do the spooky dance, which all three of them proceed to do together. The camera then pans down to Eyes' realm, where he is shown to also be doing the spooky dance. The credits then play, with Skid and Pump being seen walking together on the side.
