Hey, I can help you! I'm free for a couple weeks.
― Radford, to Kevin in Spooky Month 6 - Hollow Sorrows.

Radford is a minor character in the Spooky Month series, debuting in Spooky Month 4 - Deadly Smiles.

Biography[]

Spooky Month 4 - Deadly Smiles[]

Radford appears in the movie theater, working alongside Rick Hedony. Skid and Pump ask Rick if they can go to watch a horror movie, which he denies. After asking if they can watch a kid's movie instead, he lets them in. Because Rick isn't watching them, they sneak into the horror movie anyway. Radford yells at Rick for not doing his job correctly, and Rick quits in response.

Spooky Month 6 - Hollow Sorrows[]

Radford first appears after walking into CandyClub after Skid and Pump knock down a tower of candy cans that Kevin had just finished stacking. Radford asks Kevin if he needs help cleaning up, and the camera cuts away.

In the next scene showing CandyClub, he is leaning against the counter, telling Kevin that he isn't surprised Rick quit. He offers to help Kevin out, citing that he's "free for a couple weeks", but Kevin tells him the job is awful because of Skid and Pump. On cue, Skid and Pump arrive with Father Gregor and try to pay Kevin back for all the free candy they had gotten over the years. This shocks both Kevin and Radford because of how much money it is. Kevin says they don't need to pay, and Radford offers to give them free candy, letting Kevin know that he'll pay for it afterwards.

After Father Gregor tells the kids to not accept the candy, Radford excitedly asks him if he's a priest and why he's there in the first place. His answer makes Radford more excited, saying that he sounds like the priests in the movies. After Kevin points out that it's weird for an old man to be hanging around children, Radford frowns and shakes his head at Father Gregor, but becomes happy again once Father Gregor gives them a vial of holy water as a parting gift. To fix Kevin's confusion, he begins to fling the holy water around CandyClub as a joke, which seemingly "blesses" the building and causes customers to flood in. Radford then dons a CandyClub uniform to help Kevin with these new customers.

Radford makes a final quick appearance during Moloch's rampage across the town. After Moloch possesses Kevin and begins to destroy CandyClub, Radford walks out from the back room in confusion. After the possessed Kevin roars at him, he splashes him in the face with the holy water, causing Moloch to vacate his body and crash through a wall. Radford stares on in disbelief as Skid, Pump, and Father Gregor chase after him, then looks back at Kevin in concern and shock as Kevin recovers from the possession.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Casual[]

Radford has an oval-shaped head with fluffy blonde hair, and a small mole on his right cheek. He is always seen wearing a pair of 3D glasses, with a blue-lensed right eye and a red-lensed left eye. In his casual attire, Radford wears a light blue collared polo shirt, a black belt with a grey buckle, dark grey pants, and black shoes.

In the 2023 Halloween Art drawn by Pelo, he is shown wearing a Ghostface costume, though his hair is still visible and he wears 3D glasses over the mask.

Uniforms[]

Radford's movie theater uniform consists of a long-sleeved white button-up with a collar, and the same belt, pants, and shoe combo as his casual outfit. Over the white button-up, he wears a red vest with gold trim on both the sleeves and lining. He also wears a black bowtie.

Radford's CandyClub uniform consists of a short-sleeved white button-up shirt, and the same belt, pants, and shoe combo as his casual outfit. He wears a pink bowtie with a swirl on the center, and a CandyClub hat that is shaped like a sailor's cap, featuring a light blue stripe at the bottom and the CandyClub logo in the center.

Personality[]

Radford seems to be a kind person, offering to help Kevin out at CandyClub after seeing the knocked-over display and hearing how stressed he’s been. He also offers to pay for Skid and Pump’s candy, though he doesn’t end up doing this as Skid and Pump are forbidden by Father Gregor to get more. While Radford seems to be responsible at work, like when he scolded Rick Hedony for doing his job poorly, he is also shown to have a pretty silly side as well. This is evidenced by him throwing Father Gregor's holy water around CandyClub after the priest left and joking that "it burns" while doing so.

He seems to be a huge movie nerd, considering he works at a movie theater, wears 3D glasses at all times, and compared Father Gregor to priests "in the movies." Him saying "it burns" while throwing holy water around could be further evidence for this.

Trivia[]

  • Radford enjoys watching TV shows and listening to movie soundtracks.
  • Radford likes movie-related videogames, citing Spider-Man videogames in particular.
  • When asked if he liked Pokemon, he responded with a bewildered look while saying, "Pokemon? It's not like in the show."
  • The calendar in Kevin's Dream Job shows Radford is a September Libra, however does not confirm the date.
  • Radford would like the band Lemon Demon [1]
