"Pump" Wonder is the deuteragonist of the Spooky Month series. He is Skid's best friend, the both of whom joyously/religiously celebrate Spooky Month at any given moment, constantly getting into misadventures involving serial killers, demons, eldritch monsters, possessed killer dolls, their bullies The Hatzgang, and the ire of several townsfolk, namely Kevin and his big sister Susie. He is the youngest child of the Wonder Family. He and Skid also have an uncanny habit of befriending dangerous individuals who inexplicably are friendly to them, like Frank and Eyes of the Universe.

Like Skid and Frank, he is voiced by Spooky Month's creator Sr Pelo/David Casanova.

Appearance

Pump is a short young boy who constantly wears an orange pumpkin mask that covers his entire head. The mask has a square bucktooth on the upper-left lip, and a light green stem on top.

He also wears a heavily simplified version of what could possibly be a tuxedo, that consists of white gloves, black pants, black shoes, and a black V-neck shirt which seems to have a white undershirt beneath it. It could be possible, however, that the white undershirt is actually Pump's bare skin, and that the black shirt is too big for him.

Under his mask he has white skin, brown curly hair and a missing tooth. He is short and chubby, slightly shorter than Skid in fact. His head is wider than Skid's, and his eyes are more circular in comparison as well.

Unlike Skid, he is frequently shown with fingers like all the other characters.

His Winter outfit in Spooky Month 4 - Deadly Smiles consist of a light brown beanie with white fluff around it, and he wears a simple light brown coat over his costume.

Personality

Pump is more cautious than Skid, but is also just as optimistic. Pump's gullibility also matches Skid's, yet his rare clever moments only seem to happen when his eyes turn cyan to warn others of upcoming danger.

Just like Skid, Pump also enjoys Spooky Month, but despite his young age, it is possible that he has a dark-humored side, evidenced by him suggesting that he and Skid ignite a Happy Fella doll into flames to "see if it screams", and when he indirectly tells Moloch to snap his neck and kill himself.

Pump is also caring too, This is shown when he got mad at the Happy Fella doll for getting him in trouble with her. He is shown to not hold grudges as well. In Tender Treats, Despite Susie refusing to go trick or treating with him, Pump still shared some of the candy he got with her. Pump also tried helping Kevin with his injured leg from the happy fella by putting a bubble band aid on his wound despite it falling off.

Relationships

Skid

  • Skid and Pump are the best of friends, and no matter how rocky the road gets, they still remain very close to one another. They are rarely seen apart from one another. When they are, however, they always anticipate meeting each other again. They always get up to mischief together and enjoy each other's company more than anyone else.

Susie

  • Pump and Susie are siblings. Susie cares for each other despite their rocky relationship. Pump cares about Susie, shown when he got mad at the Happy Fella for getting him in trouble with her. Also in Tender Treats, when she meekly asks Pump if he could have some of the candy he got from trick or treating, to which he happily shared some to her.

Lila

  • Pump and Lila are not biologically related, but Lila treats him like a member of the family nonetheless.

The Hatzgang

  • Pump could possibly dislike Roy, Ross and Robert for beating him and Skid up, but especially Roy for tricking the two of them into almost becoming victims of sexual assault, but as we can see in "Spooky Month-Tender Treats" when Robert asks for some candy for his sister, he and Skid let him, Ross and Roy take some.

The Uncle

  • Pump clearly hates the Uncle, evidenced by his "Oh no, it's THE Stranger!" line.

Eyes of the Universe

  • Pump and Eyes look like they get along, but the hypnosis from Eyes could possibly prevent Pump from revealing his true thoughts on the colossal being. When under Eyes's hypnosis for the first time, Pump had a traumatized look on his face, although whether the cause of that is from the hypnosis itself or Pump struggling to break out of said hypnosis is unknown. It is to be noted that during several points in the series, Pump's eyes glow blue as if still hypnotised.

Grandpa

  • His grandpa appears in 4 Spooky Month episodes. and takes on the bigger role of taking care of Skid and Pump in Deadly Smiles.

Strengths

High jumping

Pump can jump very high, almost exactly the height of a two-story house.

Falling durability

Pump can survive falling from his jumping height, even if he lands head-first. Although it might be because his mask is durable.

Awareness

Pump is able to know whether or not a monster is around. This may be because of Eyes as his eyes only glow cyan when a monster is around as well as knowing it's a monster too.

Peak human carrying strength

In Tender Treats, he was strong enough to drag Susie out from under her bed despite her struggling against him.

Eye color-changing

Pump's eyes change to cyan whenever he is in the presence of a living demon.

Dancing

Pump can do the Spooky Dance.

Weaknesses

Gullibility

Pump's awareness ironically does not outshine his gullibility.

Unawareness

Pump does not seem to be able to tell right from wrong.

Low physical attack durability

Pump is incapable of defending himself and Skid from getting beaten up by the Hatzgang,

Lack of defense

Pump was unable to shield himself from Eyes's hypnosis.
