"It's spooky month" is the first episode of the Spooky Month series. The plot of the episode focuses on Skid and Pump as they spread the joy of spooky month to everyone.

Plot[]
The episode opens in Skid's bedroom, who can be seen on his computer, with "Sep 30" being displayed on his digital clock. The clock then suddenly changes to display "Oct 1," with the sound of bell chimes accompanying it. Skid then eerily turns around, before excitedly proclaiming that it's spooky month. Skid then throws his phone against his bedroom wall, which bounces right back into his hand. He then calls his friend, Pump, who says he will send him something. Skid looks at his phone, which shows a skeleton doing the spooky dance, before being revealed to be a screamer featuring Ooga Booga. However, Skid doesn't appear fazed by the jump scare.
Skid then goes into the living room, and finds his mother, Lila, being held at knifepoint by Bob Velseb. Lila begs for her son to call 911, but Skid, oblivious to the danger his mother is in, tells her that it's spooky month. Realizing this is true, Lila offers a piece of candy to Bob, who lets her go and proceeds to do the spooky dance. Off-screen, Lila then calls the police, who come over and promptly arrest Bob for attempted murder, whilst Lila spooky dances.
Skid then races off to tell his grandmother that it's spooky month. Though she at first appears to be nothing more than a rotting corpse, she is quickly revealed to still be alive, but as a skeleton, and proceeds to do the spooky dance.
Skid goes outside and sees Pump, and the two friends greet each other. Frank then drives by in his van, and asks the two if they would like some candy. They cheerfully accept his offer, and tell him that it's spooky month. Frank realizes that it is, and does the spooky dance as he drives away. Skid then tells Pump that they should see a horror movie, while Frank can be seen abducting Pelito in the background.
At the movie theater, Skid and Pump watch a horror movie that features Ooga Booga scaring someone. Pump then suggests that they go to a graveyard, which they do, and yell out that it's spooky month, despite no one else being there. Skid then says that they should do a prank call, and they quickly take off once again. After they leave, two ghosts suddenly appear doing the spooky dance.
Skid and Pump are next seen doing a “prank call” by using a Ouija board in Skid’s attic to summon the demon, Moloch, and tell him that it's spooky month. As Moloch does the spooky dance, Pump suggests they play a horror game, and the two crash through the attic floor and land in Skid's living room, where they begin to play Luigi's Mansion. In the game, a Boo can be seen sneaking up on a scared-looking Luigi, but when Luigi turns around, his face turns into that of Ooga Booga's, which frightens the Boo.
Skid then tells Pump that they should go downstairs, and when they do, they find Lila wearing a Santa-themed dress, standing next to a Christmas tree with stockings hung on the wall. Lila then tells Skid and Pump that it's November, implying that the entire month of October had gone by since the beginning of the episode. Skid and Pump stare in confused silence for a short time, before they gleefully look at each other and say "it's the spook before Christmas!" and do the spooky dance together.
Endings[]
Screamer Ending:
In this ending, the words "Happy Halloween" is displayed on the screen, accompanied by the two ghosts from the graveyard doing the spooky dance. Suddenly, a closeup of Ooga Booga appears, yelling her name before laughing and telling the viewer that they "just got spooked."
Real Ending:
In this ending, the same "Happy Halloween" message appears, accompanied by the dancing ghosts. However, this time, the message is shown with Skid and Pump doing the spooky dance, along with Bob, Frank, and the skeleton from Pump's screamer video. It then cuts to Moloch, who is still doing the spooky dance in Skid's attic. Moloch suddenly stops dancing when he realizes that it's November, before Santa Claus appears and begins to hit him repeatedly.Cast[]

- Ironically, this is the only episode of the series to be released in October.
- In both the YouTube and Newgrounds descriptions, Skid and Pump are referred to as “Skidd” and “Pumpy.” These were their original names before being changed.
- When Skid and Pump go to see a movie, a poster of Mokey's Show can be seen in the background, which is another series created by Sr Pelo.
- This is the only episode of the series that does not feature any kind of primary antagonist.
- However, Moloch and Bob Velseb would star as the main antagonists of "Spooky Month 3 - Unwanted Guest" and "Spooky Month - Tender Treats" respectively.
- This is the only episode of the series that was animated and voice acted entirely by Sr Pelo.
